The fact is that most blacks under 30 think of PUSH

Post by xinqixiang »

It is ironic and unfortunate that PUSH seemingly is recognized as such a strong voice of the black community by both white conservatives and Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost Dames white liberals and, indeed, by most of white America.

Although it is obvious that the Chicago black community is very diverse in its political, economic and social views, PUSH`s point of view about Nike as outlined Nike Air Max 2016 Mujer by Rev. Jesse Jackson and mimicked by Rev. Tyrone Crider, PUSH`s executive director, is not only a minority view within a minority, but is an insult to all intelligent blacks or African Americans.

When PUSH demanded a meeting with Nike stressing its concern about how much money Nike is making from blacks buying Nike Air Max Classic BW Womens Nike shoes, it demonstrated that it is no longer a push, but a shove. What moral or legitimate right does PUSH have to demand or request that any business give money to anyone who buys its product?

Three questions illustrate this issue very clearly. First, who does PUSH represent? It does not represent anybody under 30. Proof of this can be viewed on any Saturday at its headquarters meetings, where very few people under 30 are in attendance.

The fact is that most blacks under 30 think of PUSH, along with several other civil Nike Free 5.0 Femme rights organizations, as dinosaurs. Most of those over 30 who do attend are black women, black ministers and a few professional black men. Most are looking to better their own pocketbooks and all are looking to increase their self-aggrandizement and, while they collectively with Rev.

Crider and Rev. Jackson may Nike Air Huarache Hombre reflect the illusion of power, it is just that, an illusion. The second question is, who wears Nikes? I have never seen Rev. Crider, Rev. Jackson or any of the PUSH members in Nike shoes, just as I have never seen any of the politicians who attend its meetings in Nike shoes. So, how do they stop buying something they never bought in the first place?

Since PUSH has little relevancy to those who buy Nikes and since those who are buying them do so because they want this particular brand, who believes that black youth and Nike Roshe Run Herren young adults are going to pay PUSH any attention just because it has found a way to create an illusion that the black community can be held hostage by PUSH if Nike doesn`t pay up?
