Why breaking your diet could actually speed up weight loss

They split the chubby mice up into two groups one ate a kilojoule restricted healthy diet every day of the week for 12 weeks, and the other ate a kilojoule restricted healthy diet for just six days a week, followed by one to three days of unrestricted healthy eating.

The results showed after 12 weeks that there was no difference in Adidas Yeezy Boost the Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 body weight, fat mass or insulin resistance between the two groups of mice.

Even more interestingly, it was found that the group of mice who took "diet holidays" had greater weight loss efficiency, which is where you lose more weight for every kilojoule you restrict.

Can you lose weight eating only junk food? Yes, but here's why you shouldn't

"Our study suggests that if you trying to lose weight, then taking a break from dieting could give you better bang for your buck in terms of the amount of weight you lose relative to the effort you put in," says Salis.

"As anyone who has ever tried to lose weight can attest, sticking to a long term, kilojoule restricted diet which is required to achieve lasting, clinically Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost significant weight loss is notoriously difficult."

If you're thinking this only applies to mice, think again Salis expects to see similar results in human studies too.

research suggests that this phenomenon will also apply in humans. We are currently conducting clinical weight loss trials to confirm this, in collaboration with Bond University, the University of Queensland, and Queensland University of Technology."

Flexible dieting has become fashionable in recent years, with the popularisation of diets like the five Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost two (which has you eating normally for five days, and restricting intake for two days) and intermittent fasting (which traditionally has users skipping breakfast until after noon).

Salis is quick to point out that those looking to take a "diet holiday" for themselves should still concentrate on eating healthily.

"If you do find yourself sometimes eating more than you intended, it may not have any adverse effects on your overall progress, so don get discouraged just get back on the wagon and keep going," recommends Salis.
