no no no, Shoggoths dont look liek that, they are multi dark colored beings who have several eyes, and one huge tentacle for an arm.

I picture shoggoths as being a bit like a metric tonne of glass beads dropped into a barrel of tar, and the resultant mess rolled down the street.
