Many years ago, a friend of mine was hired to do an estimate on putting central air into the old Myerhoff mansion in downtown Baltimore.
He asked me to come along, as being a deputy Sheriff, I had my gun, and he was afraid of vagrants in the long empty place.
In the kitchen, I discovered a bank of hinged compartments in a wall, almost like night deposit chutes.
They were terripin bins, each one holding a single reptile until it was needed to make turtle soup-which began formal banquets.
There were a lot of bins.
So you can bet that turtles are happy when soup is cream of tomato!

We don't get cream of jeans over here, but leprechaun broth is pretty tasty.
