It might be interesting if people started writing very short stories or vignettes, say, one, two or three paragraphs at most, concentrating largely on atomosphere. Poe wrote two that I know of, titled Silence and Shadows, respectively, and C.A Smith also wrote a few. It might be fun.

Decent suggestion, however im better at making brief screenplays than Vignettes

Haiku are an excellent i not difficult means of mythos themed poetry...

Needs to comprise of a number of them though long strings of haiku

Yes, like lots of haiku in a row making up a larger body of material, which is both moderately comprehensible and suitably horrific
