Thanks for posting this Aleister...
I meant to stop by and mention the CoC DVD. It was released yesterday...
I plan on picking up a copy at the HPLFF this weekend. My film screens in the same short block as CoC. It will not be much competition...

A silent Lovecraft film...how appropriate!
Despite my ghoulish reputation, i really have the heart of a small boy. I keep it in a jar on my desk...!

One of the best (if not the best) Lovecraft adaptations ever...
Well worth picking up on DVD!
I have some screen shots on my website:

Perhaps it will be on an upcoming HPL collection DVD?

It's already available on DVD here:

The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society tends to release all their stuff by themselves, so I doubt it will ever be part of the
H.P. Lovecraft Collection DVDs...

After watching two trailers, I should be watching my own copy of this in a matter of days. It looks very good from what I've seen, maybe the best adaptation yet.

And here's a recent news story:
Film reminiscent of Poe stories

The Grand Rapids Press
"The Call of Cthulhu" was brought to my attention by a reader who also happens to be a devoted fan of writer H.P. Lovecraft. Lovecraft wrote the story on which this film is based. And I am certainly glad I had the opportunity to see this film, as it may well be the best adaptation of a Lovecraft work ever produced. . . .
