The Temple of Dagon

Just a few words to introduce myself.

First off, greetings to all, and a big thanks to Aleister for publishing my story, 'Appalachian Fall'. This is a great site with some strong fiction, and I'm honored to be able to contribute.

Most of my work published so far has been Science Fiction, with excursions into Magic Realism. But there's something about the Great Old Ones that gets way deep under your skin, and I'd always wanted to a Cthulhu Mythos story. I'm delighted that it's found a home not in a generic speculative mag, but in a venue dedicated to HPL, where people really 'get' the power of the mythos.

hey dario, that's a pretty good mythos yarn. i especially appreciate your avoidance of mythos name-dropping. i was intrigued by the 'sprites' you write about, the way they erase matter—it's similar to a sci-fi idea i've been kicking around lately. i might read it again and have some questions for you. thanks for posting the new story! (i also went to your site and read the one about the cat. interesting!)

Yeah, I think one can play in the Mythos in an expansive rather than slavish way and remain true to it.
