To apologise and compensate for SimCity's tremendously troubled launch, EA has decided to offer a free game to everyone who purchased Maxis's latest effort. According to an emailed statement, if you've activated a copy, you'll be emailed with instructions on how to redeem your free game, which will become available on March 18. I know that’s a little contrived – kind of like buying a present for a friend after you did something crummy, but we feel bad about what happened. We’re hoping you won’t stay mad and that we’ll be friends again when SimCity is running at 100%, Maxis head Lucy Bradshaw said. She went on to say the experience has improved dramatically over the last few days. A lot more people logged on than we expected. More people played and played in ways we never saw in the beta. OK, we agree, that was dumb, she added.Meanwhile, in an interview with Polygon, Bradshaw confirmed EA has requested marketing affiliates cease all promotion of the Runescape game.Splinter Cell: Blacklist Video Review (PC) A great stealth game that's not quite as clever as it thinks. By Tim Colwill on August 30, 2013 at 9:10 pm After spending a week with the PC version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, we finally return with our thoughts. Strap in for a nine-minute video rundown of Ubisoft's latest stealthy stealther. Download this video review in 1080p from our file library here. By Alice Lynton on September 28, 2014 at 10:52 am If you missed the PC beta for The Crew, there's good news a PS4 and Xbox One beta is coming, too.The test will include the Runescape game's entire map which is 6,200 miles of road across the whole of the USA, by the way but there will only be two regions populated with activities. Still: generous. And probably a big download. In total, you can try out 30 missions in five cities, note 66 landmarks and have a go at 200 skill challenges, as well as try some PvP content. You need to register on the Runescape game's website for a chance at testing, as EuroRunescape gamer reports the beta is invite-only.
