Queen Creek shopping contest ends soon

Like longer term efforts in Gilbert and Chandler, Queen Creek's Christmas promotion has been an effort to remind residents to patronize businesses in town so that it gets the sales tax revenue. The effort is sponsored by the chamber and Queen Creek Performing Arts Center.

"So far, we've seen a great deal of participation in this year's contest,' town spokeswoman Marnie Schubert said. "We've received several hundred entries we had approximately 900 entries last year and are on track to beat that number this year. Although I haven't spoken to any of the merchants myself, I do know that many of them are including the contest fliers that Ray Ban Sunglasses Discount we produced in customers' bags at checkout. I view that as a very positive sign of their participation and enthusiasm for the program."

Among the prizes shoppers can win are an iPad, lunch at the Queen Creek Olive Mill, a tuneup at Sterling Services, a gift certificate to Avai Holistic Healing Center or Yogurt Jungle, and Ray Ban sunglasses from Target Optical. Winners will be notified by telephone.
